SDL Atlas, a global leader in textile testing solutions, is introducing upgrades to three core laboratory instruments, the Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester, the Rotawash Colorfastness Tester and ICI Pillling and Snagging Tester, now known as the RotaPill Pilling and Snagging Tester. These next-generation instruments feature not only sophisticated new looks, but also incorporate improvements designed to increase the user experience, productivity and testing confidence.

All three instruments have been improved with new state-of-the-art touch screen controllers that make most common functions and most popular test methods accessible in just one or two touches. These full-color displays also features a multi-lingual interface with display options in English, Chinese, Spanish and Turkish.

The Martindale, Rotawash and RotaPill have also all been updated with sleek new looks that are not only more attractive, but functional. The Martindale’s new design now incorporates a storage rack for the light weight motion plate, allowing for quicker changes of abradent.

The sophisticated new design of the Rotawash Colorfastness Tester is all stainless steel to provide years of reliable service in a wet environment. Available in an 8 or 12 washpot model, the Rotawash washpots just snapinto place, increasing ease of use and decreasing instrument downtime.

And the RotaPill has a modern, clean look with magnetic cork-lined plates making it easier to change the cork. The new plates can also accommodate snagging points which eliminates the need for a second set of boxes dedicated for snagging. Available with either 2 or 4 stations, the attractive, base drives can also accommodate the octagonal snagging drum and the M&S drum.
