Tinius Olsen recently released a new 20 kN Pneumatic Grip, publicly demonstrated for the first time at the SDL Atlas Booth during ITMA ASIA + CITME 2023 last week in Shanghai, China. This higher force pneumatic grip is operated by an integral valve and maintains a positive pressure even when a sample specimen reduces in thickness during the test.

This new grip is compatible with the full line of Tinius Olsen Dual Column ST material testing instruments. It is controlled by foot pedal and has a maximum clamping force of 40kN at 80psi/5.5bar. The grip works with a variety of interchangeable jaw options in support of positive gripping of material type and test standard compliance.
